Dubai, UAE, May 29, 2016: Dubai Culture and Arts Authority (Dubai Culture), the emirate’s dedicated entity for culture, arts and heritage, recently launched ‘Thanks for Your Support’ initiative in recognition of World Labour Day to recognise the efforts of all of its workers who help the authority achieve its objectives regardless to the size of their duties.
Khaoulah Al Yassi, Head of Community support team at Dubai Culture, said: : “Dubai, and the UAE in general, has managed to record a number of fantastic achievements by providing the ideal working environment for the workers following the laws and regulations that preserve their rights. They play a great role across all our national sectors and, on this occasion, we express our deep gratitude to each and every member of the workers in the authority for their sincere efforts in supporting our cultural mission here in Dubai and the world.”
Dubai Culture has joined government institutions and private companies in honouring the workers on their global day as a gesture of appreciation and gratitude to them and in order to promote their affiliation to the authority. At a celebratory event at a water sports park in Ras Al Khaimah on Thursday afternoon, organisers were keen to provide recreational fun for the workers, as well as recognise a group of employees for performing very well throughout the period of their work.
Al Yassi confirmed that the authority is keen to continually celebrate this occasion by its comprehensive social responsibility program, which is based on three basic pillars, social progress, economic growth and environment protection, which allows the authority to interact with all segments of the community, and as a national institution that launches a wide spectrum of activities and events aimed at everyone in the emirate.
