Emirates Auction partners with Dubai Cares to support children's access to quality education in developing countries

UAE, May 18, 2016- Emirates Auction, the Dubai-based leading auction company in the Middle East, has entered into an agreement with Dubai Cares, part of Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives, in support of Dubai Cares’ efforts to provide children in developing countries with access to quality education. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed by H.E. Abdullah Matar Al Mannaei, Managing Director of Emirates Auction, and Tariq Al Gurg, Chief Executive Officer of Dubai Cares.
Under the agreement, the region’s leading auctioneer commits to supporting Dubai Cares in its effort to raise funds locally in support of providing children in developing countries with access to quality education, particularly by hosting a charity auction which will take place in October of this year.
H.E. Abdullah Matar Al Mannaei, Managing Director of Emirates Auction said: “We look forward to working alongside Dubai Cares in organizing fundraising initiatives that will help the philanthropic organization provide as many children as possible with the gift of education. All of us must do our part to break the cycle of poverty plaguing the developing world, and we join Dubai Cares in its belief that education is the best long-term solution to poverty. Giving children access to education is the key to empowering and helping them create a quality and happy life of their own. Our partnership reflects our commitment to support the government’s initiatives aimed at elevating the quality of life of the underprivileged.”
As part of the MoU, Emirates Auction will also donate auction items to Dubai Cares and place items secured by the organization on its online auction portal free-of-charge. In addition, the auction house will help promote Dubai Cares’ programs and initiatives on its website and auction halls.

This partnership will enhance our fundraising capabilities, gathering vital funds for building schools, providing teaching materials, training teachers, as well as further expanding our reach across the developing world.”
Dubai Cares is a UAE-based global philanthropic organization that has successfully launched education programs reaching over 14 million beneficiaries in 41 developing countries in partnership with UN aid agencies and international and local NGOs.
