‘Emirates Red Crescent' and ‘Emirates Auction' sign agreement to reinforce UAE's leadership in philanthropy through charity auctions

UAE, February 16, 2016- The Emirates Red Crescent has signed an agreement with Emirates Auction to launch a series of charity auctions, in line with their joint efforts to reinforce excellence in humanitarian and development work. The agreement was signed by H.E. Dr. Mohammed Ateeq Al Falahi, General Secretary of Emirates Red Crescent; and H.E. Abdullah Matar Al Mannaei, Managing Director of Emirates Auction. Both parties emphasised on their commitment to consolidate strategic partnership and develop ambitious projects that support the objectives of UAE Vision 2021, which is geared towards establishing the UAE as an exceptional model for developmental and humanitarian initiatives.
Under the terms of the agreement, Emirates Auction will provide cash and in-kind donations, in line with its commitment to support the humanitarian projects being implemented within the Emirates Red Crescent initiatives, at both local and international levels. The company will also host the organization’s online auctions, as well as support the joint projects that aim to enhance public awareness on the significance of charitable and humanitarian work and spreading volunteerism culture among society.
The agreement designates Emirates Auction as the party responsible for all marketing activities of the Emirates Red Crescent projects and within its halls that periodically host auctions. The company will also provide the Emirates Red Crescent with advertising and auction services.
H.E. Dr. Mohammed Ateeq Al Falahi, said: “The agreement with Emirates Auction is of great significance as it lays a solid foundation to reach a new level of leadership in charitable work, benefiting from the high-level experience and sophisticated capabilities of Emirates Auction, especially in the field of online auctions. We are sure that our new partnership will be an added value to our network of solid humanitarian partnerships with the business sector and civil society organizations, to protect the life of humans and help the weak and the needy all over the world, in line with the wise vision of the UAE leadership.”
H.E. Abdullah Matar Al Mannaei said: “We are pleased to establish a strong partnership with the Emirates Red Crescent, which will strengthen efforts to develop charity and voluntary work, based on the concept of online auctions which is one of the pillars to support the leadership on philanthropy and social solidarity, the values of which were laid down by the founding father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.”
