GCC’s Largest Financial Advisor Named ‘Personal Lines Broker’ and ‘Most Innovative Broker’ of the Year
Dubai, United Arab Emirates: Nexus Group, the region’s largest financial advisor, has received two coveted recognitions at the 2016 edition of the MENA Insurance Awards, bringing the total number of accolades the UAE-headquartered firm has received over the last 10 years to a remarkable 17 awards.
The panel of expert judges, comprised of MENA insurance industry leaders, were impressed by Nexus’ thorough understanding of the regional market it operates in, and its capacity to offer sound financial guidance to its clients through its 500-plus qualified consultants.
Nexus received the ‘Personal Lines Broker’ award, which is given to a company that demonstrates quality service to clients, offers product diversity, sets professional standards, and maintains a sound business strategy. The company also won ‘Most Innovative Broker’ for meeting client demands and demonstrating creativity across its comprehensive portfolio of insurance schemes.
The personal lines business at Nexus showed considerable growth in 2015, with some segments showing a 35 per cent increase year on year, and the total number of active clients climbing 15 per cent.
“We recognize that our responsibility as an insurance broker goes beyond our product offering. When seeking an insurance plan, clients are in fact looking for peace of mind, and that is why we firmly believe that our ability to provide personalized service is a key contributor to our success,” said Tarun Khanna, CEO of Nexus Group.
“The continuous growth we are witnessing across our business is testament to our commitment to putting our clients’ best interests at the front-and-centre of everything we do, and we are truly honoured to have started 2016 with such prestigious recognition.”
Offering clients a wide range of coverage options, from children’s education and life insurance, to medical and motor insurance, as well as a series of Takaful and savings plans, Nexus Group helps its clients achieve their long-term financial goals and security.
Nexus Group has terms of business with many prestigious local and global licensed providers and delivers professional, ethical and quality advice on life, savings, and general insurance for clients who wish to review their financial situation to meet specific goals.
As part of the company’s drive to develop and promote professional standards, Financial Consultants are evaluated against the standards of the UK’s Chartered Insurance Institute (CII). After two weeks initial residential training, Financial Consultants are required to achieve the CII Award in Financial Planning.
Nexus Group has its own internal Compliance Department to ensure that all customers have the correct financial product to address their needs and that legal and regulatory requirements are fulfilled.
The annual MENA Insurance Awards recognise and reward those MENA-based insurers, reinsurers and brokers that have demonstrated exceptional customer service and innovative product development over the past 12 months. The 2016 winners were announced recently in a ceremony at The Ritz-Carlton, Dubai International Financial Centre.
