Dubai Courts launches Smart Payment System in line with directives of H.H Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid

UAE, January 19, 2016- Dubai Courts has 2016 with a new achievement in its smart transformation efforts, as it unveiled the Smart Payment System which marks the beginning of a new phase of excellence and leadership in strengthening customers’ satisfaction and confidence in legal and judicial services. The step comes in line with Dubai Courts’ efforts to increase customer’s satisfaction and raise usage to 80 per cent by 2018, in line with the directives of His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. The new innovative system offers advanced interactive features that improve the speed, ease, efficiency and reliability of online bank transfer proceedings related to financial and inheritance cases, without the need to issue checks to the beneficiaries and parties concentered.
The launch of Smart Payment System comes following the remarkable achievements of Dubai Courts in 2015, especially in terms of accelerating judicial and legal system's smart transformation and supporting the government efforts to make Dubai the smartest city in the world, in line with the vision of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai. The Smart Payment System is an automated system for making payments and wiring the outstanding amounts directly to the clients’ bank accounts on a monthly basis, through the Smart Business platform of Emirates NBD.
His Excellency Taresh Eid Al Mansouri, Director General, Dubai Courts, said: “In 2015, We made significant accomplishments which have great contributions towards smart transformation in Dubai. The most prominent achievement was the launch of comprehensive bundle of innovative smart services, in accordance with the efforts aiming at ensuring ultimate happiness and welfare for all members of the community. The launch of Smart Payment System is an important step that will spur us on to pursue the course of excellence in 2016. We are confident that 2016 will be another successful year for us, as we are looking forward to make more achievements in line with our aspired goals to develop legal and judicial system and strengthen Dubai Courts position as a pioneer in courts work on regional and international arena.”
“The Smart Payment System is based on an innovative method that focus on making payments and bank transfer safer and easier. The system aims to achieve 3 main objectives, mainly to facilitate the completion of their transactions, raise the happiness index of customers and reduce the number of clients in Dubai Courts’ headquarters. We are sure that the new system will help to streamline and facilitate customers’ transactions and increase customers' satisfaction, happiness and well-being, which are among out top priorities,’ Al Mansouri added.
Meanwhile, Abdul Rahim Ahmad Al Mudhareb, Director of Information Technology Department, Dubai Courts: “We pay great attention to the development of the IT infrastructure, on line with our commitment to accelerate smart transformation and provide customers with integrated legal and judicial services which meet their current and future requirements. The new Smart Payment System comes as a result of our efforts to facilitate easier procedures, and enable customers to save time and effort needed to process their transactions, while ensuring the highest levels of accuracy and liability. The system helps to review, approve and implement the bank transfer orders online through the safe platform of Emirates NBD. These phased take around1.08 minutes only, compared to 16.2 minutes using the old system which is based on bank checks. "
2015 was a milestone year for Dubai Courts which made remarkable regional and international achievements. It secured the top rank in the Middle East in the World Bank's Ease of Doing Business Report 2015 in the quality of judicial processes index, following the record leap in enforcing contracts index as it advanced 103 ranks to reach the 18th. Dubai Courts achieved great success in the fields of innovation and smart transformation, as it launched a bundle of Smart Services through its 'Smart App', which is the world's first-of-its-kind judicial-based smart services app.
