4K Fixed Camera Series
The 4K Fixed camera series is deal for wide-area monitoring with a single camera, which offers high quality detailed imaging. Specifically designed for bigger areas to eliminate blind spots, this camera will reduce the total cost of ownership by reducing the number of cameras that need to be installed. This new solution offers 27 times the resolution of conventional analog cameras (VGA), nine times that of standard HD (1,280 x 720), and four times that of Full HD (1,920 x 1,080). Hence, even on magnifying a tiny part of the picture, finer details will still remain clear. Also the high performance lens used by these cameras provides uniform high-resolution images from the centre out to the edge. At the Panasonic stand two versions of this vandal resistant camera will be on display – Weather proof Dome Network Camera and the Weather proof BOX Network Camera. These models include a shock absorber around the internal lens that absorbs any damaging impact and provides increased protection.
Heavy duty tough PTZ
The PTZ (Pan-Tilt-Zoom) cameras and omnidirectional cameras, which enable wide-area monitoring, will be another key highlight for Panasonic at Intersec. In a PTZ, multiple cameras can be combined for more efficient monitoring to effectively eliminate blind spots. Panasonic has developed this product with high durability functionality designed specifically for tough operations in arctic -to- desert weather conditions, and salty gusty winds. The Heavy duty tough PTZ is an ideal solution for railway, road, industrial plant, and city surveillance.
Rugged Bus Camera
Panasonic's rugged mobile network camera (WV-SBV131M, WV-SBV111M) meets the United States Department of Defence Military Standards MIL-STD-810G to withstand even the harshest of environments. Also meeting the highest International Protection Standards IP6K9K, the camera is dust and waterproof. Meeting such standards allows the camera to be mounted on the outside of busses and trains, which are constantly shaking and rained on. The lenses' hard coated surface allows the vehicle to be put through a carwash and is capable of withstanding temperatures ranging from -40 ˚C up to +60˚C.
Railway VMD Intruder Detection – Intelligent VMD
The Railway VMD Intruder Detection camera itself features intelligent functionality for notifying the administrator about changes to situations or dangers using a variety of methods. This eliminates the need to constantly watch the screen in the control room, while reducing total cost of ownership. Various occurrences or situations such as intruding, loitering, objects moving in specific direction, scene change (interference such as blockage of the lens), removed object and crossing of virtual line can be monitored through the Intelligent VMD.
Smart Coding
Panasonic's Smart Coding technology has been designed to dramatically reduce total cost of ownership for a video surveillance system. This technology is an intelligent addition to the wide variety of technologies already available for Panasonic products and it utilises three main features in order to achieve efficient compression: GOP (Group of Picture) Control - Shown to reduce bitrate by up to 60%, Frequency Divided Filter - Shown to reduce bitrate by up to 20% and the 3D Multi Process Noise Reduction - Shown to reduce bitrate by up to 25%.
Smart coding technology reduces the bitrate of a video stream to achieve lower bandwidth consumption and smaller file sizes. The extremely large reduction in both bandwidth and file size provided by Smart Coding also promises to minimise the cost of operating a high spec security system whilst maintaining fantastic quality.
Secure Communication
Panasonic has announced a relationship to work with Symantec, a leading security provider for the Internet of Things ecosystem, to provide a series of secure platforms for its video surveillance solutions that will serve a variety of purposes, including data protection from cyber-attacks. Secure Communication is PC-level security for cameras and other embedded devices, providing three information protection blocks: data encryption, communication encryption and device verification. Secure Communication specifically protects against spoofing (false data), video tampering or altering (changing images), and snooping of protected surveillance communications (stealing passwords).
People Masking
Panasonic is also showcasing the astounding ‘People Masking' technology for customers demanding video surveillance products that keep People / employee privacy. This technology by Panasonic will allow the user to mask a specifically desired area that is under scrutiny, hence the action taking place will be visible while keeping the people working in that area masked. To develop the People Masking solution Panasonic has recognized the details of industries like Banking and Retail which strongly protect customer and employee privacy.
