Emirates Post Group honours outstanding performers at Excellence Awards 2015 ceremony

Dubai, January 7, 2016: Emirates Post Group (EPG) honoured the winners of the EPG Excellence Awards 2015 at a ceremony presided over by Acting CEO of EPG, Mr. Fahad Al Hosani.

In his welcome address, Mr. Al Hosani lauded the initiative which is inspired by the leadership standards laid down in the Sheikh Khalifa Government Excellence Program, and is in tune with UAE’s goal of becoming one of the best countries in the world by 2021.  He added that effective leaders leave a distinctive stamp on an organisation’s growth story.

“I am happy to note that the award categories were expanded this year to spread the principles of excellence and create a competitive spirit among employees, with special recognition for women through the Ideal Mother Award and also the introduction of new categories of Academic Excellence, Community Activity and Unsung Heroes award. I am sure this initiative will have a positive impact on all and be a source of motivation for all Emirates Post Group employees,” Mr. Al Hosani added.

The winners in the Excellence in Leadership category were CEO of Emirates Post Mr. Abdullah Alashram (for second consecutive year) as Best CEO of a sector; CEO of Postal Operations Mr. Sultan Al Midfa in the category of Best Director; Senior Manager of Customer Support Mr. Yousuf Al Khaja in Senior Manager category and Director of 1st Postal Zone Ms. Thamnah Nekhaira Al Sharifi as Best Zone Manager.
