UAE Banks Federation to host 3rd Annual Conference “ME Banking Forum 2015”

12 October 2015: Following two highly successful editions of the UAE Banks Federation's annual Middle East Banking Forum, the Federation will be hosting its third annual Forum on 16th November at the Jumeirah Beach Hotel, Dubai. The event is again being organised in association with the Financial Times Live and The Banker.

The one day event entitled “Leaders of Innovation” will again attract senior local, regional and international bankers, business leaders and government representatives to discuss key issues facing banks through a number of interactive presentations, panel discussions and on-stage interviews. Speakers at the conference will include H.E Mubarak Rashid Khamis Al Mansouri, Governor of the UAE Central Bank, H.E AbdulAziz Al Ghurair, Chairman of the UAE Banks Federation, Anthony Browne, CEO of British Banks Association, and Neal Cross, Chief Innovation Officer, DBS Bank, Singapore, among others.

Topics to be discussed will include the power of original thinking, change management, the growing impact of digital banking, social media, bank accelerator programmes and innovation labs, as well as emerging global banking threats, cyber security and new product and service development.

The 2015 edition of the Middle East Banking Forum has Emirates NBD, NBAD, ADCB, ADIB, Barclays, CBD, DIB, Mashreq Bank, RAK Bank and UNB as lead sponsors.Last year’s forum, which focused on the need for innovation in a digitally connected world, drew an audience of over 300 delegates made up of members of member banks of the UAE Banks Federation and senior representatives of regional banks and financial institutions, as well as consultancies and other participants in the financial sector. The forum featured Dan Schatt, Chief Commercial Officer of Stockpile and former General Manager of Financial Innovations, PayPal; Simon Hills, Executive Director at the British Bankers’ Association; among many others.
