Dubai – United Arab Emirates – 5 October 2015: Quick Registration launches road safety campaign with free brake checks for all UAE road users
Vehicle testing and registration centre Quick Registration launched Friday Brake Campaign which offers all UAE motorists to test their vehicle’s brakes free of charge every Friday this October. The free brake inspections are available 7.00AM–11.30AM and 2.30PM–7.00PM at Quick Registration vehicle testing centre in Al Qusais, Dubai. No pre-registration is required.
“Our objective as well as our goal is to do our best to avoid fatalities on UAE roads due to brake failure, so we have decided to take up the initiative of the safety campaign called Friday Brake Campaign. UAE drivers can test their vehicle’s brakes free of charge at our one of a kind facility,” said Marwan Khalifa Qasqoos, Managing Director of Quick Registration.
Statistics shows that brakes are the second most common reason for vehicles failing the technical vehicle inspections in Dubai, according to M. Qasqoos. On average 18.54 % of test failures happen due to faulty brakes. The brake system is without a doubt a crucial safety system in an automobile.
“The first day of Friday Brake Campaign evoked great response and we are glad to see that people care about their safety and safety of other road users in UAE. Still, we pledge all UAE drivers to act safe and bring in their vehicle for a quick check-up,” M. Qasqoos added.
The tests are conducted on state-of-the-art testing equipment manufactured by Beissbarth, a subsidiary of Bosch, a German company known for its professional and reliable equipment with 125-year-long history. Testing includes the checking of brake force, deceleration and difference in braking between left and right wheels, as well as for the emergency brake and service brakes. The entire process of brake testing takes less than 5 minutes.
