Union Coop Opens 3rd ‘Coop' Concept Store in ‘Al Quoz'

The Pointe and Al Mamzar are the other two locations where Union Coop has established this new concept store, which is a hybrid of a Supermarket and a Convenience store

United Arab Emirates -  November 11, 2020:   Union Coop, the largest Consumer Cooperative in the UAE, opened its third branch of the COOP chain at Al Quoz-1, Dubai. This new branch of the COOP concept comes as part of its expansion strategy to increase its market share by opening new branches of different sizes. 

The opening ceremony was attended by Mr. Harib Mohammed Bin Thani, Operations Director at Union Coop accompanied by Eng. Madiya Al Marri, Investment Division Director, Dr. Suhail Al Bastaki Director of Happiness & Marketing Dept. Managers and Staff from different departments and crowd of shoppers. The ceremony was held while following all the necessary Covid-19 prevention measures and precautions. 
Talking about the latest addition was H.E. Khalid Humaid Bin Diban Al Falasi, the CEO of Union Coop who said: - “The main aim of Coop concept series is to deliver its services to the residents of the respective area. This new Hybrid store provides more than 20,000 food and non-food items, enough to serve the large segment of consumers residing in and nearby the Al Quoz area,” 
“The ‘Pointe’ and ‘Al Mamzar’ are the other two locations where Union Coop has established this new concept store,” he added while stressing on Union Coop’s keenness to expand its services and provisions to general public. 
Furthermore, with respect to the business prospects in the location Al Falasi said: - “As for the leasing and business opportunities, the commercial center will prove to be an exotic location for commercial prospects, especially due to its strategic location – with proximity to both Business and Residential areas. Al Quoz Coop premise includes 4 showrooms plus a Coop store and 20 offices in the first floor, which are open for rent for many types of businesses. Furthermore, we are providing additional business opportunities in the form of Kiosks as well.”
For His part, Union Coop’s Operations Director Mr. Harib Mohammed Bin Thani said -”This branch will operate from 6:30 AM to 1 AM on all days thereby ensuring we serve our valued consumers efficiently. All the necessary safety protocols have been deployed and followed to provide consumers with a safe and hygienic shopping environment. Moreover, this store is a new concept that maintains the modern retail trade specifications and global standards in all aspects.”
The Commercial Center owned by Union Coop covers an area of 13,548 sq. ft. where the store area is 3,799 sq. ft. The strategic location ensures that the customers can easily reach the place and enjoy a fulfilling shopping experience. Moreover, strict furnishing and design standards have been adopted while establishing this branch as well, to fit with the available area of the store and the items to provide. 
Shareholders can use their membership number while all consumers can use their ‘Tamayaz’ loyalty cards to avail additional discounts on special promotions and more.
