L'Mane Fashion Casa Launches Vintage Inspired Spring/Summer Collection

Dubai – UAE – 17 May, 2015 – Lina Mane, a young budding fashion designer based in UAE, showcased the spring/summer collection of her newly launched label – L’Mane Fashion Casa – by hosting a vintage inspired fashion soirée and exhibition at the Gate Building 05 in Dubai International Financial Center (DIFC) from 14 to 16 May.

Cheorgraophed by Arindam Banerjee, the fashion show was curated in theatre form where models enacted the 60’s lifestyle wearing outfits from the collection. Arindam Banerjee is also the official choreographer for Miss India Worldwide and has worked with Bollywood celebrities such as Govinda, Kareena Kapoor and Mallika Sherawat.

Speaking about the event, Arindam Banerjee said: “When I met Lina and heard about the concept behind her inaugural collection, I was very impressed with her vision and how she wanted to launch it.  In order to match the theme of her collection, we decided to do something different. What we have done here is not put up a usual fashion show – where models do the catwalk. Instead, we have conceptualized and styled a vintage fashion theatre – Fashion Casa. I hope people enjoy it and appreciate the art behind it as well as the collection because I definitely think Lina has done an amazing job with her collection.”

Speaking about the event and the launch, Lina Mane, the designer behind the brand, said: “I am very pleased with the turnout. A lot of people are showing interest and like the concept behind the label and the collection – especially the fact that elements on one outfit are not replicated throughout the collection. My design philosophy behind the label is to offer women a unique collection of feminine styles that are luxurious, trendy and wearable to any occasion. Therefore, every design under the brand includes elements that have been thoughtfully conceptualized on the best of fabrics to create a unique piece.”

The debut collection consisted of 60 brilliantly fashioned and unique prêt a porter dresses made in subtle to vibrant spring/summer color combinations reflecting the golden era of the 60s. Offering women contemporary elegant options, the collection included innovative design details such as fabric painting, hand embroidery, Swarovski, crystals and beads on materials such as bridal satin, chiffon, pure silk and tulle. The line included outfits inspired from art, architecture and people; combined with fitted tailoring; and prints such as gingham, block, and floral designs thereby infusing culture with modernity to reflect international fashion trends.

Speaking about the collection Neha Pundlik, one of the attendees at the event, said: “The collection is truly amazing. There is so much thought process behind every garment. The fabric, cut, finish, everything is just so perfect. Having a L'Mane in your wardrobe is going to be a must!”
