REPETTO spring – summer 2015
Last Update: Monday, March 30, 2015 : 19:23 (+4GMT)
With a Repetto ballerina first comes the dream of a little girl: a dancer, elegant and feminine, a simple gesture, free and gracious. Then comes the desire to shake up the rules and write some new ones. To achieve this unique result, Repetto perpetuates its exceptional know-how.
From their factory in the Dordogne, Repetto pays the utmost attention to its production ensuring that every single shoe is a symbol of French luxury. And when Repetto launches a new collection accompanied by an original ad campaign, it’s perfectly natural that they should combine tradition with renewal.
In this new collection where a multitude of creations come together, the French artisan focuses on the essential in the Repetto silhouette: a pair of ballerinas, a dress and a bag. So, starting with Biba, the essential ballerina from the beginning of the year, with its jewelled triple buckle and its lining in an off-white cotton.
Then Francine, the dress, in bright pink with a fitted bustier, skinny straps and rounded skirt, reminding us that elegance is above all about simplicity. And finally Gala, the lambskin bag, worn with a long shoulder strap in leather, or a short strap in woven cotton with snaphooks, and lined with pink satin.
This new campaign is the joint effort of Benjamin Huseby and the Al Dente agency. Norwegianborn Benjamin Huseby moves between the two worlds of art and fashion. Known for his images bursting with, occasionally strange, juxtapositions, his work is regularly published in Vogue, iD and Acne Paper. His personal works are exhibited in galleries in London, Berlin and Oslo.
This is Al Dente’s first collaboration with Repetto. A perfectly natural association when you know that Patrizio Miceli’s company combines expertise and fun, structure and liberty, in total accordance with the values of his presigious client.
