Dubai, UAE, 11 June 2026: The Mohammed Bin Rashid Library will organise a special celebration for World Music Day on Friday, June 19, as part of its efforts to promote cultural and artistic engagement and provide interactive creative spaces that bring together talented individuals and audiences in an inspiring cultural experience.
The event will give musicians of all ages and backgrounds the opportunity to showcase their skills and share their passion for music with the public. The Library calls on all those interested in participating to submit their applications, specifying the musical instrument they play, via email at rsvp@mbrl.ae no later than June 14.
The open participation segment will be followed by three live musical performances. The first, Dark to Light, will be presented by pianist and composer Ahmed Al Hashemi, who is on the autism spectrum. Through his inspiring musical piece, he narrates a journey of passion, creativity, and hope, demonstrating music’s power to express determination and overcome challenges.
The celebration will also feature a Violin Evening by violinist Nastasia, who will perform a selection of international songs alongside her own original compositions in a show that combines professional artistry with vibrant rhythms reflecting the diversity of contemporary musical experiences.
The World Music Day celebration will conclude with a Harp Evening presented by harpists Mariam and Julie Frankoul. Together, they will take the audience on a journey that blends masterpieces of Arabic music with renowned international compositions, highlighting the beauty of cultural diversity and the artistic richness of music.
The Mohammed Bin Rashid Library invites music lovers and audiences of all age groups to participate and register for this open global event and enjoy a diverse program celebrating music as a universal human language that fosters hope, inspiration, and cross-cultural understanding. Registration is available through the Library’s website: Mohammed Bin Rashid Library, or via the links available on its social media platforms.
