Gulf Extrusions receives Gulf Aluminium Council Health and Safety Award

UAE, March 4, 2015- Gulf Extrusions (Gulfex), a leading global manufacturer of extruded aluminium products, was awarded the Gulf Aluminium Council (GAC) Health and Safety Award, during a special awarding ceremony held at the Gulf Hotel in Bahrain. The award was given to Gulfex in recognition of the company’s implementation of excellent health and safety initiatives and its significant contribution towards the efforts to achieve key sustainability in the Gulf region.
Modar Al Mekdad, General Manager, Gulf Extrusions, said, “We are truly honored to have been given this recognition by the Gulf Aluminium Council. GAC is a coordinating body that represents, promotes and protects the interests of the aluminium industry within the Gulf. The council’s main objectives are to provide a forum to develop strategies for common issues and concerns facing the aluminium industry in the region, and to share best practices so as to improve the efficiency of the industry. The GAC Health and Safety awards aim to encourage and provide momentum for innovative health and safety initiatives.
