United Arab Emirates, Dubai, 10 December, 2014: The Dubai Health Authority's Medical Education Department in association with Harvard Medical School has granted 15 scholarships to DHA medical professionals.

The scholarships have been granted for the ‘Introduction to Clinical Research Training' program. ( ICRT).

Dr Jamila Sheikh, Acting-Director of Medical Education, said: “At the DHA, we firmly believe in the importance of ongoing medical education especially because medicine is an ever-evolving field and it is important to be up-to-date with the latest advances in medicine.  We also consider medical research to be vital as it lays the foundation for new innovations and advances in the field which directly better patient outcomes.”

Dr Mahera Abdulrahman Amir, Project Manager, Medical Education Department, said: “This program  provides an introduction to key skills and knowledge in clinical research using an innovative educational model. The ICRT program is a six-month certificate program consisting of online lectures, webinars and workshops. The program's blended curriculum emphasizes skill-based and team-based peer-to-peer learning.
