Raise it High. Raise it Proud. Flag Day at AUST

Responding to the national initiative launched by His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, in which he called upon all UAE citizens, residents and government departments to hoist the UAE flag on the same day at the same time across all the seven Emirates, Ajman University has celebrated this Monday, November 3rd, at 12 midday, the UAE Flag Day.

Osama Saeed Salman, Vice President of Ajman University, expressed his pride at conjoining AUST to this patriotic annual initiative, which instills the sense of belonging to the beloved homeland and emphasizes the close relationship of culture to the values. The Patriotic pride is enhanced for this land founded by Late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.

 Mr. Salman commented that "under a leader like Your Highness, and with the great people you have raised, the UAE Flag will remain high in our sky and deeply rooted in our heart. We will hoist this flag with great pride in all regional and international events.”

He also extended his best expressions of loyalty and felicitations to His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE President, and to all Emirates rulers, on the occasion of the upcoming 43rd UAE National Day.

Thousands of AUST students, staff and faculty came outdoors to witness a massive celebration of the Flag Day. The turnout was enthusiastic and patriotically charged while chanting the national anthem and waving national flags.
