Last Update: Sunday, August 10, 2014 : 15:29 (+4GMT)
Keeping up to its promise to offer the fun side of summer, the 17th edition of Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS) is yet again successful at creating an exciting atmosphere in Dubai, which is bustling with great live shows, amazing shopping offers and the unique chance to make it big with wonderful prizes that all shopping malls in Dubai are dishing out throughout DSS.
Mercato, located on Jumeirah Beach Road, is one of the DSS destinations that is constantly introducing new elements of fun for mall-goers of all ages, and one of the main attractions that the mall is offering to families is the Jungle Jive show featuring loveable Cartoon Network characters.
On Thursday evening (7 August), Mercato hosted a special Jungle Jive show for the benefit of a large number of media and their families, who were invited to the event by the Media Centre of Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), an agency of the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM), and the organiser of DSS.
Jungle Jive brings to life the favourite Cartoon Network characters such as Dexter and her sister Dee Dee, the muscular Johnny Bravo, The Powerpuff Girls - Blossom, Bubbles and Buttercup and their nemesis Mojo Jojo.
The action begins when Dexter, Dee Dee and Johnny Bravo decide to set out on a holiday, deep in the heart of an African jungle, where they run into the people of the native Tumba tribe and also The Powerpuff Girls. Just when they begin to have a blast, the evil Mojo Jojo disguised as a witchdoctor, attempts to poison them all. Kids can look forward to rooting for their favourite Cartoon Network buddies as they team up to take on Mojo Jojo during the 25-minute long adventure.
Jungle Jive, which kicked off on 5 August will run until 11 August, with three shows daily at 4:30pm, 6:30pm and 8:00pm daily.
The 17th edition of DSS will run until 5 September this year, under the theme, “The Fun Side of Summer.”
