Dubai, United Arab Emirates, July 7, 2014: His Excellency Engineer Essa Al Maidoor, Director-General of the Dubai Health Authority(DHA) broke his fast yesterday with doctors, nurses and medical professionals from The Family Gathering Centre.
The centre is the only dedicated geriatric in-patient and out-patient facility.
Prior to this Centre, Al Maidoor also visited Rashid Hospital, Latifa Hospital and Al Barsha health centre and broke his fast with staff members.
Al Maidoor met with several patients during his tour of these facilities and wished them a blessed Ramadan.
He met with staff members and expressed his appreciation for the health workers' efforts, and dedication in serving their communities and highlighted that it is the DHA's aim to further develop the health sector ensuring everyone has access to high-quality of health care.
Following his tour, he took part in the Iftar banquet organized by the staff, during which he exchanged views with them on the latest developments in the medical profession.
He took part in the Al Maghreb prayers and wished everyone a blessed Ramadan.
