Ideal Standard Targets Hospitality Sector

Ideal Standard, the world’s leader in bathroom design and manufacture, announced today its recent participation as a silver sponsor in the prestigious Hotelier African Summit 2014. Held in Casablanca, Morocco April 24th - 25th at the Mazagan Beach Resort, it brought together qualified decision-makers to take part in Africa’s most important hospitality construction event.
The summit’s unique pre-scheduled meeting model was designed to ensure timely finalization of contracts. Mr. Ahmed Hafez, CEO, Ideal Standard International Middle East and Africa, Eng. Maged Ayoub, General Manager, Commercial Ideal Standard Egypt and Africa, Eng. Mamdouh Ibrahim, Sales Director for Africa and Egypt as well as Mr. Sherif Raafat, Africa Sales Manager attended the summit on behalf of Ideal Standard.

Due to improving economic growth and the influx of more tourists, construction in the North and Sub-Saharan Africa hospitality sector is set to skyrocket. In North Africa, 77 hotels and 19,000 rooms are already being built while in Egypt, 20 new hotels and 6,463 rooms are in the pipeline. As part of its hotel upgrade efforts, countries such as Tunisia and Algeria plan to invest approximately USD $6.2 billion over the coming decade.
