The First Open UAE MAS-Wrestling Championship Takes Place at the Sheraton Jumeirah Beach Resort

The Inter Mas-Wrestling Federation takes the Yacutia national sport to Dubai as the number of Russian visitors and residents continues to grow

Dubai, April 10, 2014 - The Sheraton Jumeirah Beach Resort is hosting today the first open UAE MAS-Wrestling championship.

MAS-Wrestling is a very popular sports in Russia and it is considered the national sport of the region of Yacutia. It was registered by the All-Russia Sports Registry (VRVS) in 2003 and has been governed by the International Mas-Wrestling Federation.

As the number of Russian visitors and residents in UAE continues to grow the sports became a must in the region.

Sheraton Jumeirah Beach Resort is proud to support the incrementing of MAS-Wrestling in the Gulf Region hosting this event. “It is important for Sheraton Jumeirah Beach Resort to support sports initiatives that will benefit our guests and our community” says Manuel Garcia, Director of Sales & Marketing, Sheraton Jumeirah Beach Resort.

To support the initiative The Vice President of Yakutia Region in Russia will also be present along with several other UAE personalities.

The event will take place today, April 10 2014, between 5pm and 9pm and it is an open competition. Everyone who would like to participate is welcome to join and register.
