Hotel seeks to raise awareness for cancer research through interactive Q&A session held on its online channels.
Abu Dhabi, 06 February 2014 – Beach Rotana Abu Dhabi waits to participate in the 19th annual Terry Fox Run Abu Dhabi scheduled to take place on Friday, 21st of February 2014, at the Corniche, Abu Dhabi.
The run, named after deceased Canadian athlete Terry Fox, has uninterruptedly taken place in the UAE since 1995 and seeks to raise awareness and funds for cancer research.
In the eve of the marathon, on 20th February 2014, Beach Rotana Abu Dhabi is hosting an online Q&A session with Ms. Judith Fox, sister of demised Terry Fox.
The hotel, a regular supporter of the run, will take a step further in raising cancer research awareness by giving voice to the head of the Terry Fox foundation through its social media channels. Also, it is expected that the amount of Beach Rotana colleagues participating in the race will surpass the 230 runners achieved last year, and which represents the highest number of attendees to date.
Users will be able to send their questions to Judith Fox, prior to the date through Beach Rotana’s social media channels. A Facebook event, where participants can post their questions has been created specifically for the occasion on the hotel’s Facebook profile (BeachRotanaAD). Similarly, questions can also be submitted through Twitter by tagging @Beach_Rotana and using the hashtag #TFAD2014.
