when the renowned French Fashion instituteinvites one of the last True Draping Masters
February 2014,Since 2006, ESMOD Dubai holds the title of The Fashion Educator in the Middle East. Its impressive list of Alumni that have successfully built up their own Business, clearly reflects the viability of its one a kind teaching method.
The term “Haute-Couture” initially refers to the creation of a garment fully constructed by hand from start to finish. Collections labelled with it have to meet the highest quality standards.
In fact, a Designer has to be a Maestro of the up to date Fashion scene, thus, possess an extensive and eclectic know-How in the Traditional and Modern garment making techniques to offer cutting-edge creations.
Therefore, ESMOD Dubai has decided to launch an Exclusive Haute-Couture Draping Masterclass conducted by one of the last True Draping Master, Sir Nils-Christian. For more than half a Century, Sir Nils-Christian has worked as a Head Designer for several major “French Fashion Houses” such: Jean Patou Haute-Couture, Pierre Cardin Haute-Couture and Ted Lapidus. Other international brands such as Mac Douglas, Zilly, and Guy Laroche have required his services due to his expertise in mastering Leather and Fur.
This unique initiative is open to all Fashion Designers that wish to extend their skills by acquiring numerous draping techniques from “Cascade, Sunray” passing by “Knots” all the way to the most prestigious of all “the Momie draping”.
An opportunity to transcend a piece of work to a work of Art.
Registrations are now open. The course will take place for 5 days from March 2nd 2014 until March 6th 2014. Limited number of seats available. www.esmod-dubai.com
