Indian Pavilion Spices Up Visits To Global Village

Dubai, 7 November, 2013: The Indian pavilion at Global Village is an experience in itself as befits the representatives of the second most populous nation in the world. India has one of the largest pavilions at Global Village once again this year and a commitment to delivering an experience and entertainment to visitors that in many ways could only be matched by actually going to India.
When approaching the Indian pavilion visitors will first experience the grandeur of the pavilion's façade that includes Mughal style architecture, most famously captured by the iconic Taj Mahal. The structure is lit up by dozens of lights; creating shadows that highlight the skill of the Mughal architecture and represents the aesthetic qualities of Islamic and Persian art.
Stepping into the pavilion is like travelling to street stalls in India and the enticing atmosphere allows the pavilion goer to walk around, looking for great deals and exquisite items of rarity. Whether visitors are an experienced bargain hunter, or a first time deal seeker there are always great deals to be found at the Indian pavilion.
Individuals looking for a wide variety of home accessories – be they cushion, pillow, or bedspread covers – will find genuine, handmade products – many of
them hand woven and produced with the finest quality raw materials, sourced in India.
Among the many products on display are the finest cashmere and pashmina shawls brought from India, along with a whole host of Indian carpet makers. Hand woven items are in high demand due to their unique look, and the high quality of the raw products used in the production of them.
Silk and cashmere items are among the many things visitors will be able to find at the Indian pavilion including has a large amount of leather items on sale such as handmade leather bags, wallets, belts, and shoes.
One of the more unique items for sale are Punjabi juttis. This brightly coloured and traditional Indian footwear will dazzle friends and family with the designs of colourful sequins and flamboyant threads. Made of genuine Indian leather, these shoes will last for a long time, and are also good for daily wear. Traditionally used during weddings, the shoes differ slightly for males and female designs, with the men's design having an extended and curved tip to portray a mustache.
Jewellery is another popular item on sale including pieces of jewelry that are specifically made in Hyderabad with locally sourced pearls. Visitors looking for authentic and colourful, handmade bands should be sure to go through the wide variety of offers available at the stalls spread out across the pavilion.
So for a truly oriental flavour and a spice filled experience at Global Village this season – the Indian Pavilion is set to prove one of the most attractive and popular destinations for visitors once again.

Located on the Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed highway for ease of access, the Global Village has parking space for 17,000 cars.
