Fitness First Quiz Time 2013 : Quiz Wizards Come Together

Dubai, UAE, November 6th, 2013 - In an ultimate test of wit, over 50 teams from Colleges & Corporates across UAE competed at the second edition of Fitness First Quiz Time 2013 held at Park Regis Kris Kin Hotel. The event saw the smartest brains across UAE, participate in the initiative.

The teams from the Corporates & Colleges were tested on business trivia, people, products, etc.

The Winners were felicitated with 1 Year membership to Fitness First, Medallion and Gift Vouchers from Splash.

The audience were at their toes with questions ranging from ‘What was it that King Charles II leased to East India Company in exchange for a loan & a yearly rent of 10 pounds in 1668 to As per Forbes, which dead celebrity had the maximum earnings last year?'

The Prelims consisting of 30 questions saw 4 teams each from the Corporates & Colleges making it to the Grand Finale.

In the Corporate Category, Maddy Reddy & K Srinivas from Content Syndicate retained their title and were declared the Winners followed by  Chetan Choudhury  & Tarafa Homsy from KPMG who were the 1s Runner-up.  The team from HP consisting of Alok Mohan & Pulin Parikh were the 2nd Runner-up.

In the College Category, it was a clean sweep by students from BITS-Pilani, Dubai Campus with Anirban Musib & Omar Qureshi being the winners followed closely by Rahul Philip & Jonathan Justin from the same College.

“This was a 1st of its kind initiative in UAE and created a lot of excitement for the participants as well as the audience. The Festival provided an opportunity to reach out to the Quizzing Fraternity in UAE”, said Reena Banerjee, Founder & Idea Director of Big Idea who conceptualised this event.
