Agreement between Two Institutions Follows Successful Joint Program Conducted in March 2013
Dubai-UAE: 29 July, 2013 – Senior executives from the private and public sectors of the region will receive enhanced opportunities for enrolling into executive education programs following the renewed partnership between the Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Government (MBRSG), a research and teaching institution focusing on public policy in the Arab world, and the Malaysia-based Iclif Leadership and Governance Centre (Iclif).
The newly launched open enrolment programs will include customized leadership development and corporate governance modules that are specifically designed for C-suite executives. The programs will cover critical topics that will equip leaders to galvanize their talents and energy, as well as those of the people that work with them, to achieve superior performance no matter what challenges they face. The programs offer 100% practical and usable solutions that leaders can immediately apply at work. The first of such programs will be rolled out by the first quarter of 2014.
Iclif is an international, Asia-focused center of excellence delivering practical corporate governance and leadership development solutions. Its latest agreement with MBRSG follows the success registered by the executive education course titled ‘Leadership for Sustainable Growth'. The outcome of an initial collaboration that was established a year ago between the two organizations, the program was held in Dubai in March 2013.
Dr Al Marri, Executive President of the Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Government said: “The Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Government is committed to strengthening government and private sector leadership in the Middle East through collaboration with distinguished organizations. Our synergy with Iclif comes as part of our priority to offer comprehensive high quality executive education and corporate governance programs to help nurture a new generation of leaders. The program will empower participants to drive their organizations towards greater success through effective management of the challenges facing the Arab world, while impacting a meaningful change in the larger global context.”
Rajeev Peshawaria, Chief Executive Officer, Iclif, and Dr Ali Sebaa Al Marri, Executive President, Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Government, signed the MoU in the presence of Tan Sri Dato' Sri Dr Zeti Akhtar Aziz, Malaysia's Central Bank Governor and the Chairman of Iclif, and Professor Bassem Younes, Director of Strategic Alliances at MBRSG.
Peshawaria added: “Iclif is delighted to partner with the Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Government to support the development of a new generation of leaders that aspire for excellence. In line with this priority, we seek to equip boards to effectively manage and visibly improve the performance of their organizations in today's challenging global landscape.”
Earlier in July, a delegation from the Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Government led by Dr Al Marri and Professor Bassem Younes visited Iclif in Malaysia to explore potential avenues for collaboration.
