Ahmedia Heritage Guest House announces BLIS 2013

Summer Camp aims to bring out the creative best in teenagers

Dubai, UAE (July 18, 2013): Ahmedia Heritage Guest House, located in the heart of Al Ras, Deira and managed by Planet Hospitality, announces the Basic Life Skills Workshop(BLIS), an innovative and holistic workshop aimed at bringing out the creative best in teenager in terms of linguistic and artistic expression, taking place from 1st July to 25th July 2013.

The BLIS workshop aims to bridge the gap between academic demands and individual creativity in order to channelize teenager's energy into something meaningful with lasting value. Conducted at one of the premium heritage locations in Dubai, it is a month-long program aims to empower teenagers with basic life skills through art, literature and culture.

Habib Khan, General Manager, and CEO of Planet Hospitality, said: “We are happy to organize Basic Life Skills Workshop 2013 for teenagers in Dubai. This workshop is developed by paraeducators based in the UAE, Singapore and the US. The faculty specialises in 21st century skill sets that include a wide range of basic tools to live a meaningful life that are missing in our school/college curriculum. It's first of its kind in the UAE and highly valuable for children in their teens, the workshop is debuting at Ahmedia Art Gallery situated in the heritage heart of Dubai.”

The workshop includes the following
• Creative Linguistics (Enabling better oral and written expression) by Mini Menon, Author and founder of Creativity Takes Courage (CTC), Dubai, UAE. 
• Innovation and Evolution ( Encouraging creative expression through various forms of art) by B'lu Emerging UAE artist and Mentor in Creative Communication for Connect Asia Networks, Singapore, and Dr Ashwin Pillai, Abstract Artist, Pranic Healer and General Practitioner based in Abu Dhabi.
• Culinary Exploration (Discovering the delights of ethnic cuisine) by Souz Chef Abdul Khader and Executive Chef Ahmed Latif, Barjeel, Dubai, UAE.

The participants will have a chance to interact with experts from various fields like journalism, art, fashion and music. The other details as below,
