Al Faraj Relief Fund to Launch Ramadan Campaign

ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates - Tuesday, July 2nd 2013 [ME NewsWire]: In a meeting held on Tuesday, the Al Faraj Relief Fund' Board of Directors decided to launch a special Ramadan campaign to support its programs to provide aid and assistance to target groups. The meeting, which was held at the Abu Dhabi Police GHQ conference room, was chaired by Major General Nasser Lakhrebani Al Nuaimi, Secretary General of the Office of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Chairman of the Al Faraj Fund Board of Directors.
The campaign includes a number of media programs highlighting the Fund's role and objectives through Abu Dhabi TV, the Emirates and Sama Dubai channels; the Holy Quran Radio, Emarat FM; Channel 4 FM, Ajman; as well as local newspapers.
The Board also decided to intensify case studies related to families of inmates at the Punitive and Correctional Establishments; in order to provide them with help and assistance.
Moreover, the Board of Directors reviewed a report on the achievements made as per the recommendations approved by the Board of Directors in its previous meeting. It also reviewed the Fund's biannual financial report for the current year, which shed light on the revenues and expenses of the target groups.
Attending the meeting were Brigadier Mohammed Rashid Al Shamesi, Vice Chairman of Al Faraj Fund; Colonel Ahmed Saeed Al Badi, Director General of the Fund; Colonel Abdul Hakim Al Suwaidi, treasurer of the Fund; and Colonel Ali Al Zayoudi, Secretary. Also present were Colonel Dr. Salem Al Yammahi and Major Faisal Al Shehhi, members of the Board of Directors; Major Mohammed Hussein Al Khouri, Chairman of the Coordination and Media Committee; and First Assistant Abdullah Al Mansouri, member of the Case Study Committee, and Council Rapporteur.
