Presented at Watches and Wonders 2026, Vacheron Constantin unveils a new series of watches born from its collaboration with the Louvre Museum, inspired by masterpieces exhibited in the museum and paying tribute to the great civilizations of Antiquity. The collection showcases nine decorative crafts through cultural symbols placed within the artistic context of their respective eras. Four models, each limited to 15 pieces and powered by the Manufacture Calibre 2460 G4/2, reflect the shared commitment of Vacheron Constantin and the Louvre since 2019 to preserving art, culture, and traditional craftsmanship.
Continuing the Métiers d'Art Tribute to great civilizations series first introduced in 2022, the Maison explores Pharaonic Egypt, the Assyrian Empire, Ancient Greece, and Imperial Rome through works selected in close collaboration with the Louvre's curatorial teams. Each timepiece combines historical research with exceptional savoir-faire, translating ancient artistic heritage into contemporary horology.
The complexity of the decorative arts is expressed through multi-layered dials composed of distinct artisanal techniques, including glyptic, enamel, engraving, marquetry, and micro-mosaic. Each dial features a central effigy surrounded by ornamental friezes, while the Calibre 2460 G4/2 provides a peripheral display of time indications.
