Where Swiss craftsmanship meets marine conservation
Dubai, United Arab Emirates, August 18th, 2025 - Oris, renowned for its Swiss watchmaking, presents the New York Harbor Limited Edition II, a 2,000-piece Aquis Date arriving worldwide in August 2025. Inspired by the harbor’s dynamic light, this distinctive timepiece captures the city’s energy while supporting the Billion Oyster Project’s mission to restore and revitalize the waterfront.
The watch features a 43.5 mm multi-piece stainless steel case with a unidirectional rotating bezel. Its luminous aqua green mother-of-pearl dial shimmers with a subtle oyster-shell effect. A domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating enhances the dial’s depth, while hands and indices filled with Super-LumiNova® ensure clear readability. The watch comes with a stainless-steel bracelet and an additional aqua green rubber strap, offering both elegance and versatility. Engineered for 300 meters of water resistance, this 2,000-piece numbered edition retails for CHF 2,550.
Proceeds will support reef building, shell recycling, and educational programs that engage thousands of students and volunteers. Since 2014, the Billion Oyster Project has restored over 150 million oysters to New York Harbor, creating vital habitats and fostering environmental stewardship.
Oris Co-CEO, Rolf Studer, says, “The ecological challenge can feel overwhelming, but when we work together, it gets easier. We’re proud to collaborate again with Billion Oyster Project and witness first-hand the change we’re bringing together.”
