Casio to Release G-SHOCK Watches with a Tough Silicone Band That Delivers Both Comfortable Fit and Abrasion Resistance

Stylish Metal-Bezel Design with a Resin Band Finished with Vapor Deposition for a Metallic Look

Dubai, March 17, 2025 — Casio Computer Co., Ltd. announced today the release of the newest additions to its family of G-SHOCK shock-resistant watches. Featuring a stylish metal bezel and the Tough Silicone Band, which offers a comfortable fit and enhanced abrasion resistance, the new GM-5600YM, GM-5600YMG, GM-2100YM and GM-2100YMG watches are available in four models in total.

The new watches are the first shock-resistant G-SHOCK watches to feature the Tough Silicone Band. This new band leverages the properties of silicone as a material to provide flexibility and an even more comfortable fit on the wrist. The Tough Silicone Band also delivers even greater abrasion resistance, employing a dual-layer construction that protects the silicone surface with urethane resin on top. While increasing the strength of the band, the construction enables a new form of expression in design as well, with vapor deposition applied to the resin.

The GM-5600YM and GM-5600YMG feature the iconic form inherited from the very first G-SHOCK, the DW-5000C, while the GM-2100YM and GM-2100YMG employ the octagonal bezel popular for its streamlined, minimalist design. All four models feature a stylish design with a metallic shine.

The watches are available in two colors: silver for a sharp look (GM-5600YM and GM-2100YM) and brilliant gold for an edgy look (GM-5600YMG and GM-2100YMG).
