Kartell, the distinguished Italian design label, has just introduced its remarkable Flagship Store at Dubai Mall Za'abeel. This momentous occasion represents a key milestone in the brand's expansion strategy within the United Arab Emirates. The opulent store provides a captivating immersion into Kartell's realm of elegance and creativity, beckoning design aficionados to discover an extensive array of products tailored for diverse living environments.
We had the privilege of engaging in a conversation with Lorenza Luti, the Marketing and Retail Director at Kartell, to delve into this thrilling venture and to gain insights into Kartell's design approach in the UAE.
It's an exciting time for Kartell with the grand opening of your new Flagship Store in Dubai Mall Za'abeel. Can you tell us more about this stunning new location and what it means for Kartell?
Lorenza Luti: We are thrilled about the opening of our Flagship Store in Dubai Mall Za'abeel. This location is a true reflection of our commitment to design excellence and innovation. It's more than just a store; it's a total living experience. We've carefully curated the space to showcase a wide range of our products, from sofas and armchairs to lighting fixtures and outdoor solutions. It's about offering our customers a complete design vision for their homes and living spaces.
Can you tell us about some of the new products you're introducing with this opening?
Lorenza Luti: Absolutely! We are excited to introduce several new products with this grand opening. One of them is the "Teatime" tray designed by Philippe Starck, which combines the charm of exquisite embroidery with the functionality of a tray. The tray is made from sustainable recycled material and is available in gold, bronze, chrome, and pink finishes.
Another highlight is the "Khan" chandelier, also designed by Philippe Starck, which blends 18th-century eclecticism with contemporary minimalism. It showcases our commitment to technological advancement with the use of innovative polycarbonate 2.0 technology. The Khan chandelier is available in transparent black and bronze finishes, in both glossy and matte versions, as well as a new glossy champagne version.
And that's just the beginning; we have several other exciting products in various categories, from tables to chairs, all designed to offer innovation, style, and functionality to our customers.
It sounds like an impressive lineup. How does Kartell view the United Arab Emirates as a market, and what is the company's vision for its presence in this region?
Lorenza Luti: The United Arab Emirates, and especially cities like Dubai and Abu Dhabi, have become significant commercial hubs for Kartell. We are dedicated to delivering projects that seamlessly adapt to various contexts, from private residences to hospitality spaces. Our goal is to cater to a diverse clientele, both local and international, who appreciate innovative design and lifestyle offerings.
We've opened two flagship stores in prestigious locations like Dubai Mall and Dubai Hills Mall, which confirms our interest in the Emirates as a strategic market. Our presence is a solid starting point, but our vision is to open additional stores in the region to meet the growing demand for high-quality designer and lifestyle products. We're also focusing on e-commerce to ensure that we can reach every corner of the country.
