Union Coop Receives French Retail Delegation

Visit aimed at learning about ‘Hydroponic Agriculture Mechanisms’ and latest technologies incorporated by the cooperative
Dubai, UAE - December 13, 2021: Union Coop, the largest Consumer Cooperative in the UAE received French F&B retail representatives belonging to retail brands E.Leclerc, Systeme U and several French entrepreneurs.
The visiting delegation aimed, through its visit to the Union Coop, to learn about ‘Hydroponic Agriculture Mechanisms’ and to learn about the latest technologies incorporated by the cooperative in growing green vegetables, and the most important needs of local markets for products, in addition to exchanging experiences and innovative high-end practices that the cooperative follows in the field of retail.
Union Coop was represented by Mrs. Priya Chopra – Strategy, Innovation & Corporate Development Director, Mr. Yaqoob Al Balooshi, Fresh Category Trade Dept. Manager, Mrs. Darin Awida the Deputy Director of Strategy, Innovation & Corporate Development Dept., Mrs. Sana Gul – Trade Development Sec. Mgr, and Mr. MOHAMMAD ABBAS, Sr. Showroom Supervisor – Al Warqa Branch.
Mr. Yaqoob Al Balooshi, Mrs. Sana Gul, and Mr. Mohammad Abbas gave a guided tour of the hypermarket, giving a detailed explanation to the visiting delegation on the most important services that Union Coop provides to consumers, in which it follows the best practices applied in the field of food retailing, delivery, customer happiness services, expansion strategies and digital solutions for retail, in addition to updating them of many information about the culture of retail trade in the Union Coop, Hydroponics and ways of taking care of the Union farm located in Al Warqa City Mall. All inquiries received from the visiting delegation were answered, and ways of commercial cooperation between the two parties were discussed for the near future.
The French delegation praised the services provided by Union Coop to the consumers, and the practices followed in the field of retail trade with international standards and thanked the cooperative management for the warm reception and offering them to experience the best services provided, Union Farm, work and delivery mechanisms, modern technologies used in trade, promotions, and products displayed in the showroom according to an organized vision that attracts shoppers.
