The World’s First Filter-Type Portable Air Purifier
DUBAI, Monday 16th, 2019 – Delivering on its promise of promoting an intelligent lifestyle, LG Electronics (LG) today announced the launch of the world’s first filter-type portable air purifier in the UAE market.
During an event held at the Sofitel Hotel in Downtown Dubai, attendees experienced how the company is advancing its efforts to help consumers live healthier through the power of technology.
With the UAE government aiming to achieve 90% clean air by 2021 , LG is aligned with its own ambition to educate on the importance of improving indoor air quality.
Originally consisting of single and double tower models for the home, through customer surveys and R&D efforts, the leading air solution provider recognized a gap in the market.
Building upon the success of its existing PuriCare range, LG now introduces the PuriCare Mini – an air purifier small in size, without compromising on performance.
Within its comprehensive 4-step filtration system, the device features a PM1.0 sensor to detect ultra-fine dust and intuitively displays air quality via a 4-color smart display. Users will see a red light when air is at its most polluted, through to green – indicating clean air and making it simple for people to understand the environment in which they are situated.
The device’s Dual Inverter motors work alongside the PM1.0 sensor to take in pollutants and work on purifying the air with speed. The HEPA filter is able to capture particles from fine hair and allergens, to up to 99% of 0.3-micron ultra-fine dust (Intertek certified).
With consumers living increasingly busy lifestyles and often travelling and working from different locations, contact with polluted air, different bacteria and allergens is inevitable. Providing added peace-of-mind, the PuriCare Mini is backed by a British Allergy Foundation certification – acknowledged for preventing allergens known to cause respiratory and skin conditions. As polluted air is captured, clean air is expelled – boosted by Twin Tornado Dual Fans, enabling clean air to travel further and at greater speed.
At only 530 grams in weight and cord-free, the PuriCare Mini is designed for life-on-the-go. Boasting up to 8 hours battery life and conveniently chargeable using a USB-C cable, the device can be effortlessly transported from the home to the office. The PuriCare Mini is also compatible with a range of accessories which enable use in vehicles and even on baby strollers.
The air purifier can also be programmed to emit as little as 30 decibels of sound, ideal for use in a working environment, with minimal disruption.
Users can also benefit from Bluetooth operation using the dedicated PuriCare Mini app on Android and iOS devices. Accessing the app enables convenient control of wind intensity, filter information and checks for real-time ambient air condition. Users can also check the pollution history and battery level amongst other features.
Commenting on the local availability of the LG PuriCare Mini, Mr. Hongju Jeon, President, LG Electronics Gulf said: “We firmly believe that access to clean air should not be a privilege, but simply a right. We’ve listened to the needs of our customers and want to ensure that access to a healthy lifestyle and quality are air are not based on location alone. With the PuriCare Mini, we are proud to be positively impacting the lives of citizens in the UAE – empowering them to truly experience clean air, wherever they go.”
With the festive season underway, the PuriCare Mini makes an ideal gift for those wishing to elevate their standard of living or cater to the wellbeing of their loved ones.
The LG PuriCare Mini comes in black and white variants and is now available for purchase for 799 AED at Emax, Sharaf DG, ECity, Lulu Hypermarket and 1004 Gourmet stores.
