Kinder Joy of Moving – an innovative, scientifically-recognized physical educational method set to be introduced in the Kingdom’s national academic curriculum – will aim to bring joy to school children through moving
September 26, 2019 - Dubai, UAE – On Friday September 13th 2019, in the presence of HRH Prince Abdullah bin Turki Al Saud, Saudi Arabia’s highly-esteemed Ministries of Health and Education held a press conference at Jeddah’s Red Sea Mall to announce an unprecedented strategic partnership with Ferrero.
Under this newly signed agreement, in the upcoming year, the Ministries and Ferrero will join forces to launch Kinder Joy of Moving across the Kingdom. The physical education program – designed to encourage children’s natural inclination to be active, move and play – is set to be embedded in the national curriculum of primary schools in major cities including Jeddah, Riyadh and Dammam.
The scientifically-recognized Joy of Moving methodology aims to get children of all ages moving through play whilst also developing key skills in four major areas ranging from physical fitness to motor coordination, cognitive function, creativity and life skills.
To ensure a flawless roll-out, the physical education teachers at each primary school – encompassing children aged 4-12 – will be trained by certified global Kinder Joy of Moving coaches. The instructors will therefore be fully equipped and informed to bring to life the program’s core vision, which is to promote the importance of movement and daily physical activity for children and young people around the world, to support their long-term health and happiness.
Commenting on the launch, Dr. Nagi Almutlaq, Asrar Magazine CEO, said: “Asrar Magazine is honored and proud to be the first Saudi magazine in years to organize awareness campaigns in various health and social fields, in cooperation and partnership with the Ministry of Health and Ministry of Education. In the Campaign “Joy of Moving”, we have paid great attention to school students in Jeddah, Riyadh and Dammam. Through this campaign, we have been keen to form healthy and mature thinking, to replace the wrong daily habits with healthy habits supported by Ferrero (Kinder) to reach certain level of awareness that many communities aspire to reach, all thanks to the generous support, partnership and cooperation with the Ministry of Health and Ministry of Education, which do not spare any effort to promote and raise awareness of the individual and society”.
Echoing this statement, Guido Ferralasco, Regional Managing Director at Ferrero Gulf, stated: “We are honored to be collaborating with Saudi Arabia’s esteemed Ministries of Health and Education to implement the Kinder Joy of Moving program across school curriculums in the Kingdom. For Ferrero, Kinder Joy of Moving is a strategic global Group Social Responsibility Project that is firmly rooted in the belief that a positive attitude towards movement will make today’s children better adults tomorrow.”
Ferralasco also added, “We are truly inspired by how Saudi Arabia’s key Ministries have embraced this program and are delighted to be working hand-in-hand with a highly-respected governmental partner so dedicated to improving the well-being and lives of the Kingdom’s future generations.”
Kinder Joy of Moving is an international Ferrero Group Social Responsibility Project that currently inspires four million children and their families in 30 countries around the world to get active, enjoy moving, and develop life skills in an engaging and joyful way.
