Tazio Nuvolari Vanderbilt Cup

Dubai, United Arab Emirates -  17, August 2019:   The “Tazio Nuvolari – Vanderbilt Cup” collection is dedicated to one of the most exciting and renowned race from Nuvolari, won on Long Island in America in 1936, on board of his12-cylinder Alfa Romeo. Tazio and his Vanderbilt Cup make racing history. 

 

Eberhard & Co. celebrates this legendary, prestigious victory with the Tazio Nuvolari–Vanderbilt Cup collection, characterized by a great temperament and a sporting spirit 

 

Tazio Nuvolari Vanderbilt Cup is a mechanical, self-winding, waterproof chronograph featuring significant technical details from the past but revised in accordance with modern criteria. The crown features a coaxial pushbutton recalling the chronographs from the ‘30s. The case has a hinged double caseback that can be opened with a special vertical sliding pushbutton.

 

On the internal part of the back cover are depicted a stylised reproduction of Nuvolari’s legendary tortoise, the driver’s initials and there is also space to apply an individual dedication. The finely machined movement is revealed through a sapphire glass with Tazio Nuvolari’s signature. 

 

The 42 mm diameter of the circular watch case is generous, it is waterproof to 30 metres and it has a dial particularly striking, with a design that recalls dashboard instruments of vintage sports cars. 

 

With a superbly refined self-winding movement (30 rubies, blue screws, perlage and Côte de Genève finishing) guaranteeing at least 42 hours of autonomy, this Eberhard & Co. chronograph has the classic trio of counters for hours, minutes and a second hand sweep; it is available on a leather strap or on a Charmant® steel bracelet with deployment clasp Déclic® (Patented)
