May 30, 2019: UAE-based electronics retail giant ECity, which is part of Albatha Group, one of the largest conglomerates in the UAE, today unveiled its sprawling multi-branded store at the Marina Mall in Abu Dhabi -- a landmark move that reflects the company’s recognition of the emirate as an important city of the future. Covering an area of 2,000 square meters, ECity’s brand-new store joins the ranks of the largest electronics and gadgets establishments operating in the capital today.
The store located at the mall’s basement level has more than 5,000 in-demand stock keeping units from various international brands. The wide selection includes the latest innovations in smart gadgets, audio video, large and small home appliances, personal care, gaming and toys, laptops, smartphones, tablets, wearables, and cameras. In addition, it features an extensive range of different accessories across all categories as well as personal and lifestyle items. As part of its line-up of innovative products and services, the newly opened establishment also houses ECity’s first ever Asus computer service centre and a dedicated station for phone accessory customization.
Jaouad Dakir, CEO, ECity, said: “Many customers still go for the ‘touch and feel’ aspect when it comes to buying electronics. As such, our new store has been designed to give them a better ‘touch and feel’ experience, while ensuring that they have a wide range of choices. This is our third establishment in Abu Dhabi, where we are also opening more large outlets as we see great potential market opportunities in the UAE capital. Lastly, we are adding four more ECity stores in Dubai’s prime locations by the end of this year to cater to the needs of our tech-savvy customers. We will reveal the locations in the upcoming few weeks.
“To ensure that our latest store offers diverse products and services, ECity has partnered with all major brands across different categories and not just electronics. Every part of the new store and each product offering that it houses cater to the needs of our customers and ensure one-of-a-kind customer experience. Also, true to our commitment, we offer diverse products to give our customers more options as they pick the best quality items that fit their requirements,” Dakir added.
ECity also revealed that it will roll out its own e-commerce website soon, which is now at the development stage, to reach out to online shoppers.
“We believe that our customers should be able to experience innovation to make better choices. The new store and our upcoming projects are a testament to our organization’s dedication to live up to this commitment. Following today’s formal unveiling at the Marina Mall, which were attended by our senior officials, ECity will from now on establish bigger stores to accommodate more products and continue to deliver best-in-class services to our customers. We are elated by today’s highly successful launch as we look forward to the completion of our new projects in the near future,” Dakir added.
For its strong market presence in the region, ECity was the recipient for the second consecutive year of the ‘Most Admired Retailer – Consumer Electronics’ award given at the Retail ME Awards 2018.
