Abdallah Sultan Al Owais inaugurates Ramadan Nights 2019 at Expo Centre Sharjah

Sharjah, 25 May 2019: H.E. Abdallah Sultan Al Owais, Chairman of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), inaugurated the Ramadan Nights 2019 on Thursday night at Expo Centre Sharjah.
The fair, which is a 17-day mega Ramadan and Eid event, will be held until June 8 amid extraordinary climate, interesting deals and attractive discounts up to 75%, which are one of the biggest discounts at the Emirate level.
Ramadan Nights is an integral part of the 30th edition of Sharjah Ramadan Festival, organized by the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce & Industry (SCCI).
The ribbon-cutting cutting ceremonies were attended by a number of SCCI’ Board of Directors, H.E. Mohamed Ahmed Amin, SCCI’s Director-General, H.E. Saif Mohamed Al Midfa, CEO, Expo Centre Sharjah, Ibrahim Al Jarwan, SCCI’s Director of Economic Relations & Marketing and a number of officials and employees from Sharjah Chamber and Expo Centre.
Ramadan Nights 2019 has managed to attract 300 various brands with an increase of 20% compared to the previous editions which featured a unique collection of local and international brands with diverse products including; fashion, jewelry, sports equipment, antiques, handicrafts, electrical appliances, restaurants, cafes, and traditional Emirati food.
This year’s edition, which is being held with the SCCI’s support, is the largest ever, where the showrooms cover the entire area of Expo Centre Sharjah of 40,000 square meters.
At Ramadan Nights, you can enjoy spending your Ramadan nights amid wonderful atmosphere with family members and friends and enjoying an interesting shopping experience ahead of the ensuing Eid Al Fitr celebrations.
Visitors can also enjoy various international cuisines, besides heritage, cultural and artistic programs. The event is also featuring a gaming arena for fun and entertainment activities that will cater to visitors of all ages and a dedicated kid’s play area with more than 4000 square meters.
Boosting Trade & Tourism Activities
H.E. Abdallah Sultan Al Owais emphasized the importance of organizing such major events in boosting trade and tourism activities across the Emirate of Sharjah, as well as spreading happiness throughout the Holy Month of Ramadan through to Eid Al-Fitr.
Al Owais hailed the quality of products, distinctive offers, attractive discounts, and diverse activities to meet visitors’ expectations from different social segments and age groups.
He added that the visitors can benefit from a cross-section of goods and products offered by hundreds of exhibitors on local and international products.
Attracting Retail Companies
For his part, H.E. Saif Mohamed Al Midfa said: “over the previous edition, Ramadan Nights has managed to gain the confidence and respect of visitors. Expo Centre, Sharjah Chamber, and strategic partners are keen to continuously develop the fair and its activities to maintain its reputation as one of the most important shopping destinations in the country.”
“This helps attract retail sector companies and the most important national and international brands to participate in the fair. The matter which is reflected positively on the business community and revitalization of the economic various sectors and the investment climate in the emirate,” Al Midfa added.
He explained that Ramadan Nights 2019 is the ideal destination for families and those wishing to spend Ramadan evenings and enjoy a unique shopping experience at competitive prices, in an entertaining environment for adults and children, and various recreational activities under one roof.
“I’m fully confident that Ramadan Nights this year, like previous editions, will gain visitors’ satisfaction in the light of the growing entertainment space and the number of exhibitors as well,” Al Midfa underlined.
In turn, Sultan Shattaf, Director Marketing & Business Development Expo Centre Sharjah, said that Ramadan Nights provides a gaming arena with more than 4000 square meters. It includes a large number of kid’s well-selected entertainment activities, considering safety factors.
Furthermore, the fair comprises a distinguished food court gathering a collection of the best international cuisines. In addition, Ramadan Nights this year is featuring a cross-section of exhibits including; gifts, new products, perfumes, cosmetics, health care products, electrical appliances, household furnishings, furniture and interiors, textiles and fashion, clothing and sports equipment, stationery, foodstuff, natural and artificial flowers, mobile phones, computers and their accessories, children’s toys, jewelry and many more.
Shattaf noted that this year’s edition brings good news to the lucky shoppers who can win precious prizes including BMW – X1. He added: “To be eligible for entering the final raffle draw, the shoppers need to spend more than AED 100,000.”
A Unique Collection of World’s Famous Brands
The fair is witnessing the participation of the world’s famous brands, in addition to a number of government institutions and civilian authorities working in the Emirate of Sharjah are taking part in Ramadan Nights. This will help visitors learn more about various programs supported by these entities.
Ramadan Nights will open its doors to visitors from 8 pm to 2 am daily throughout the Holy Month of Ramadan and from 5 pm to 11 pm during Eid Al-Fitr holidays.
