- PCMM is a business excellence model recognised as a gold standard in people practices worldwide
Dubai, UAE, March 31, 2019: VFS Global is pleased to announce the successful completion of the PCMM Level 5 rating appraisal and awarded this rating within two and a half years after being appraised at PCMM Level 3 (People Capability Maturity Model) in mid 2016. Achieving this rating has been a two-year process involving a project team and multiple VFS Global cross functional teams across geographies and functions. The appraisal was conducted by KPMG.
VFS Global is the only visa services company to have achieved a People Capability Maturity Model (PCMM) rating. The appraisal is a validation of VFS Global’s long-standing commitment to continuous business excellence adopted by a strong global workforce of 9,955 employees spread across 144 countries in five continents. The highest rating indicates that VFS Global is continually engaged in improving its workforce policies, practices and capabilities in alignment with its business performance and objectives. In 2018, VFS Global achieved CMMI Service Excellence maturity level 3, reflecting the importance the organisation places on the quality of work produced.
CMMI Institute’s (of Carnegie Mellon University) PCMM rating is a business excellence model which enables a strong alignment between people practices and business objectives. The achievement now places VFS Global amongst very select and elite group of leading global organisations who have achieved the level 5 rating for the entire organisation. PCMM appraisals play an important role to enhance the overall performance and develop the ability to attract, build, encourage, organise as well as retain talent, by encouraging innovative business practises within a company.
Commenting on this achievement, Mr. Zubin Karkaria, CEO, VFS Global, said "The need to sustain consistent business growth has made it imperative for us to build high performing teams, develop people capabilities, and manage excellence in people management. PCMM Level 5 is an affirmation of our continued focus on people and business process integration. It is pivotal for us as a global organisation to continue strengthening our people and business processes to drive business excellence, and to meet the business objectives of our client governments and develop innovative solutions that enhance the overall experience of applicants globally.”
Added, Bernard Martyris, Chief of Human Resources, VFS Global, "Achieving this rating is a testament to our belief that our employees have always remained as our vital assets. The journey towards securing this extremely important milestone has been a two-year collaborative process driven by our global HR team, which involved the proactive participation of several of our cross functional teams spread across geographies and functions. With the PCMM Level 5 rating, VFS Global is part of an elite group of employers and is recognised as an exceptional place to work! It also reinforces our commitment to deploy mature and predictable processes and sustain them as we grow our operations.”
