New Office Bearers of Gopio, Dubai Chapter

The election of office bearers of Global Organization of People of Indian Origin (GOPIO), Dubai Chapter was held on Saturday in the presence of H.E. Mr Vipul, Consul General of India, Dubai. Mr Sunny Kulathakal, President, Gopio International and Mr IJ Pattaniparampil, Global Ambassador of Gopio, were present.
Mr Kamal Vachani, Group Director, Al Maya Group has been elected as Chairman of Dubai chapter. The other office bearers elected are Mr Ashish Metha, Vice Chairman, Dr Hussain P.K. President, CA. James Mathew, Vice President, Mr C.U. Mathai, Secretary and Mr Jacob Alex, Treasurer.
The Global Organization of People of Indian Origin (GOPIO), a secular international organization for People of Indian Origin and NRIs, started in 1989 in New York. The initial thrust of GOPIO was campaigning and helping human rights violation of Indians living outside India.
Currently GOPIO international has over 100 chapters in 30 countries. In an effort to promote business and investment opportunities, GOPIO has launched GOPIO International Chamber of Commerce (GICC) in 2016.
GOPIO has different councils like Gopio women’s network, Gopio youth and young professionals network, Gopio council on diaspora seniors, Gopio academic council, Gopio human rights council, Gopio cultural council, Gopio science and technology council, Gopio media council and Gopio health and wellness council.
