Abu Dhabi University and Knowledge Group to participate in IDEX 2019

Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates—16 February, 2019: Abu Dhabi University and Knowledge Group, the learning, development and consulting arm of Abu Dhabi University, have announced their participation in the International Defence Exhibition (IDEX 2019) and Naval Defence (NAVDEX) 2019, taking place from 17-21 February at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center (ADNEC).
Knowledge Group is showcasing its training and educational programs, which include military medical training, naval training programs, naval counter-insurgency, Virtual Reality driven simulation for rescue missions, leadership tests for individuals and groups using gaming techniques, protecting vital buildings against terrorism, consultation solutions aimed at enhancing strategies, managing crises and evaluating risk factors on infrastructure and citizens.
The exhibition will provide ADU with the opportunity to explore new avenues for cooperation with various defense manufacturing organizations in the public and private sector, as well as promote its wide academic portfolio.
Ali Saeed Bin Harmal Al Dhaheri, Chairman of Abu Dhabi University, highlighted that Abu Dhabi continues to make great strides in attracting investors, partners and individuals from around the world, who have come to showcase their latest developments and innovations. He pointed out that the UAE’s conducive business environment and leadership vision are both key driving factors in this success. Bin Harmal added that IDEX exhibition is a global meeting point for leading local and international key players in the defense industry allowing them to showcase their latest and most advanced offerings.
Bin Harmal commented, “We look forward to presenting our best-in-class defense training programs offered by Abu Dhabi University and Knowledge Group among many other offerings. Our programs aim to provide the necessary skills to enable individuals to excel in their naval and military pursuits. We strive to work closely with partners from the public and private sector to ensure the continuous development of our programs to meet the current and future needs of various sectors.”
Abu Dhabi University will also be showcasing its 44 scientific and academic programs at bachelor’s, master’s and doctorate levels. These include programs in engineering, business administration, arts and science, and law, which were identified based on comprehensive research into the needs of the local and regional job market.
In line with the UAE government’s vision to support innovation, ADU is set to expand its bachelor’s academic offerings in the science and arts streams, which will be showcased at the exhibition. These new programs include Biomedical Engineering, Aerospace Security Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Software Engineering, and Artificial Intelligence and Robotics. In addition, ADU offers a number of academic programs for military colleges.
