Celebrate Chinese Golden Week at The Dubai Mall with an exclusive showcase of festivities

Dubai, UAE, October 03, 2018:  Celebrating China’s traditional Golden Week, The Dubai Mall is adding a dash of entertainment that will bring family and friends together through dance, music, art and laughter. 

Immerse into some of the oldest Chinese traditions as The Dubai Mall has lined up a host of Chinese cultural activities for all the family members. From October 1-7, The Dubai Mall will host a programme of traditional Chinese cultural and art activities at a special Chinese-themed activation at Souk Atrium. 

Here, guests can experience a showcase of Chinese ancient art forms with live Chinese Calligraphy, Rice Writing Art and Fan Painting demonstrations. Throughout the week, skilled artists will be showing off their craftsmanship by creating customised pieces of art for shoppers to take home, with a minimum purchase at any store in the mall. Whether it’s having one’s name written in Chinese calligraphy, your loved ones names engraved in tiny grains of rice, or a traditional fan bearing a bespoke design, guests are in for a cultural treat. 

 To celebrate the Golden Week, The Dubai Fountain will be playing Chinese instrumental Music for the guests to get completely entrenched in the Chinese spirit. The Butterfly Lovers and Goodbye Kiss by Jackie Cheung will be played every day during the Golden Week at 1:30pm and 7:00pm respectively. 

Finally, The Dubai Mall in partnership with Alipay has introduced a special Golden Week Campaign. Alipay users can look forward to winning prizes worth up to 2888 RMB as well as instant cash prizes by just scanning QR codes. Not just this, guests can also enjoy culinary delights at any Alipay active F&B store and redeem 20 RMB on the total bill. Currently, nearly 450 stores within The Dubai Mall accept Alipay, making it extremely convenient for Chinese shoppers.
