Al-Futtaim Group Real Estate recognized by MOHRE for its commitment to Emiratization

Dubai, United Arab Emirates, September 26, 2018:   Al-Futtaim Group Real Estate, the real estate development and operations arm of Al-Futtaim, has been recognized by the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE) for its contributions to the UAE governments Emiratisation goals. 

Al-Futtaim was amongst the top 10 companies to have contributed towards the success of the Real Estate Accelerators programme helping UAE Nationals to start their career in the Real Estate sector. 

The award was presented to Raghda Fatme, Director HR - Al-Futtaim Group Real Estate and Zuhair Al Haj, Director of Human Resources and Localisation - MENA region - Al-Futtaim, by His Excellency Nasser Al Hamli, Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation and His Excellency Sultan Al Mansouri, Minister of Economy.

The success of the Al-Futtaim Group Real Estate Emiratisation programme is driven by the support of the Group's leadership team who developed a three-year strategy on Emiratisation. The strategy promises to provide specialized job opportunities, helping to enable people to navigate and grow their career ‘journey' successfully with Al-Futtaim as an employer of choice. 

Working closely with the MOHRE, the HR team at Al-Futtaim Group Real Estate have successfully placed 78 Emirati's across the various businesses; Malls, Mixed Use, Engineering and Technology. Emiratis were interviewed at career events and those that were found suitable for the vacant jobs were immediately offered placements at the career events.

The drive and energy of our Emiratization program is a companywide commitment that expands from employees through to top management. It is evident through our Emirati employees who share this obligation. For example, Asma Alhammadi, Assistant Marketing Manager and Hamdan Alkaitoob, Assistant Property Manager, employed within Al-Futtaim play a key part in support MOHRE Private Sector Youth Council. They are actively involved in initiating and recommending practical solutions to achieve the UAE governments Emiratisation objectives. 

Commenting on the award, Raghda Fatme, Director HR at Al-Futtaim Group Real Estate said, “The Group is committed to attracting and retaining UAE nationals as we believe in investing in the leaders of tomorrow. We have a clearly defined Emiratisation strategy that aims to promote talented Emiratis ranging from fresh graduates through to, skilled and seasoned professionals.
