Dubai, UAE, 24th January 2018: Stadium, the multi-brand athleisure store with a unique blend of top performance sports brands and a premium lifestyle offering, has officially launched StadiumCares. The cause was inaugurated in collaboration with Emirates Red Crescent during a press conference today at the Stadium Store, The Dubai Mall.
As part of Stadium’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) platform, StadiumCares invites all citizens across the UAE to make donations of their sporting apparel, footwear, and accessories at any of the select Stadium stores across Abu Dhabi and Dubai.
The campaign will be active all year round, across Stadium stores and supporters will be able to contribute their donations to StadiumCares boxes available in stores. At the end of every month, donations will be handed over to Emirates Red Crescent and will be distributed to those in need. In addition to the contributions collected, Stadium will be supporting the non-profit organisation by donating new sporting goods and apparel every quarter.
On the successful launch of the initiative, Mark Greiner, General Manager of the Al Futtaim Group’s Sports and Lifestyle Division, said: “At Stadium, it is our corporate social responsibility to give back to the community we live in. Even a small gesture by our customers and by all of us can make a huge impact on the lives of less fortunate.”
“Our sports and lifestyle team are very excited about this initiative, and were happy to start off the campaign by making their very first donations. We hope to see more support coming in,” he further added.
