Accepting Submissions to the 6th cycle UAE Ideas Award 2017 from Emiratis and Expatriates

Dubai, 16 August 2017, UAE: Dubai Quality Group has started accepting the submissions to the 6th cycle UAE Ideas Conference & Award 2017 that will kick off under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al-Maktoum, President of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, Chairman of Dubai Airports, Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Airline & Group and Patron of Dubai Quality Group. The 6th UAE Ideas Conference & Award 2017 will take place on October 2017 at Dubai.
The award forms an integral part of the Conference, which was introduced in the year 2012 by the group to encourage the extensive adoption of innovation. The annual conference in Arabic will bring together Emirati as well as other local talents, industry leaders & innovation experts under a single platform to speak on the significance of incorporating innovative practices at work and how profoundly it impacts today’s economy and society.
In line with UAE’s strategy, UAE Ideas adopts creativity, innovation & continual improvement as key factors that lead to the development of the nation its citizens and residents.
Fatma Buti Al Mheiri, Chairman Dubai Quality Group, said “We are keen every year to organize the UAE Ideas Conference in order to promote the culture of creativity and innovation, and in turn contribute towards achieving the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, which aims at making UAE among the best countries in the world by recognizing innovation as a cornerstone of social and economic development. Innovation is a key to promoting economic growth, increasing competitiveness and productivity.

Innovation, research, science and technology will form the pillars of a knowledge-based, highly productive and competitive economy.”
Fatma Al Mheiri added “Considering the value that UAE’s large expat population can add to the conference, owing to the years of experience that many of them have in the local market, we have decided this year to widen the scope of the award and accept submissions from both Emiratis as well as their expatriate counterparts, therefore, I’m inviting all the organizations to apply.”
She added “UAE is known world-wide as an icon for innovation and creativity. Through UAE Ideas, we want to further encourage the UAE community to actively participate in the development of the nation, by providing them with an opportunity to highlight their talents and achievements.
Dubai Quality Group invites all the organizations in UAE to apply, as the best creative and innovative ideas will be awarded according to the following categories:
- Innovation in promoting Arabic language.
- Innovation in promoting National Identity.
- Innovation in promoting, encouraging and empowerment of UAE citizens.
- Promoting marketing and representation of UAE abroad.
- Promoting voluntary and humanitarian work.
- Promoting e-Government.
- Promoting environmental work. (Eco Applications)
- Promoting business.
- Media coverage of a national initiative
- Promoting Emirati inventors (Young Inventor and Overall Inventor)
The submission for the award will be closing on 20th Sep.
