Get ready to go ‘Under the Sea' at City Walk

Underwater, aquatic themed indoor attraction invites families to venture into a maritime deep-sea of fun this summer season

Dubai, UAE, July 6, 2017:  City Walk, the urban living destination by Meraas, continues to entertain families over the hot summer months with the opening of ‘Under the Sea’, an interactive underwater themed experience launching in celebration of the 2017 Dubai Summer Surprises. From the 7th of July 2017 until the 12th of August, ‘Under the Sea’ will take over City Walk, bringing together elements of the ocean to create a truly unique and must-visit family friendly attraction to add to your to-do list this summer. 

Open from 4 PM till 10 PM on weekdays and 2 PM till 10 PM on weekends, the subaquatic experience will be designed as a ‘Mermaid’s Hideout’ where children can dive into an underwater environment, interact with and explore the various experiential zones including sand art, popsicle stick art and loom art stations, themed word searches, live magic shows, balloon art and so much more. Visitors will also have the chance to meet and greet the talented stars of the live show for that prefect picture opportunity. 

For those adventurous little ones, City Walk will also be hosting an interactive sea-themed treasure hunt wherein little detectives will need to find a secret word in order to win exciting prizes and gain access to the live show in the ‘Mermaid’s Hideout’. To participate, players will need to collect a map from the information desk and embark on their adventure to find the hidden clues at ‘The Pirate’s Cove’ in the indoor courtyard and ‘The Giant Pearl’ which will be situated by the fountain.

Live shows will be hosted every Friday and Saturday at 4:30PM, 7:30PM and 9PM at the ‘Mermaid’s Hideout’ and will involve a beautiful flow of contemporary movement reflecting the movement of the ocean. The storyline will depict acrobatic sea creatures surrounding a strong-minded mermaid taking control of the ocean through an artistic and entertaining performance. 

Prices: Access to the activation is complimentary for two children and two adults upon a minimum spend of AED 200 at any retail, leisure, and F&B outlets across City Walk. ‘Under the Sea’ will be located next to Hub Zero.

Timings: 4 PM till 10 PM on weekdays and 2 PM till 10 PM on weekends.
