SEWA Chairman Dr. Rashid Al Leem Graced SUC UN-World Water Day Celebration

Sharjah, UAE, March 28, 2017: Skyline University College Services Committee headed by SUC Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammad Abdul Salam has successfully conducted the UN World Water Day Celebration in cooperation with SHUROOQ and Sharjah Electricity and Water Authority (SEWA) on March 22, 2017 at Al Majaz Waterfront Park, Sharjah UAE. The Chief Guest of the event was HE Dr. Rashid Al Leem, Chairman of SEWA.
The highlights of the event were the awareness walk in the park and painting competition for children ages 4-7, 8-18, and 13 and up. SEWA Chairman, Dr. Rashid Al Leem also addressed a keynote speech and reminded the children about the importance of water. Dr. Rashid emphasized to reuse water and find solutions to wastewater. “We have seen the young generation communicate their message and love to the society and I have seen Skyline University College put their outstanding effort to make a change not only for water but through workshops and seminars as part of their social responsibility,” Dr. Al Leem added recognizing the CSR activities conducted by SUC over the years.
SUC’s corporate social responsibility towards the community in UAE, especially in Sharjah undertakes to organize UN World Water Day each year for the last six years. In continuation to UN theme of ‘Water and Wastewater,’ this campaign aimed at creating awareness of managing water and wastewater related issues of the environment.
