UAE, March 19, 2017– In support of the vision of the wise leadership to build a global capital for the future, Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University (HBMSU) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Holistic to collaborate on initiatives that will pave the way for Dubai to become a ‘transformation economy’ from being an ‘experience economy.’ The MoU is in response to the directives of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and HBMSU President, to form partnerships according to the objectives of Dubai 10X initiative recently launched by H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai. The initiative aims to put Dubai 10 years ahead of other cities worldwide in terms of innovation to make its transition into a ‘City of the Future’ a reality.
The MoU was signed by Prof. Nabil Baydoun, Vice Chancellor for University Advancement, and Holistic Founder Dr. Ludmila Vassilieva following the two sides’ agreement to explore new horizons and create joint programs ensuring Dubai’s and the UAE’s global leadership in the future. Both HBMSU and Holistic will develop a holistic disruptive innovation to create new operating and business models such as the design-based thinking method and replace the traditional services in order to meet the requirements of the 21st century.
HBMSU Chancellor Dr. Mansoor Al Awar said: “We are committed to supporting the national efforts to develop clear mechanisms for implementation of leading models to build the future. This is in line with the directives of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and HBMSU President, who said, ‘In Dubai we have already achieved the development stage and we are determined to remain first 10 years from now.’ In this light, we forged a solid partnership with Holistic, a leader in the development of new perceptions of innovation and education, to develop and implement future models based on holistic disruptive innovation. Our partnership will help improve the quality of our services with consideration to the rapid global changes and emerging international requirements and in support of the government’s drive to build a better future.”
Dr. Al Awar concluded: “As we believe in the importance of taking proactive steps to embody the goals of Dubai 10X initiative, we vow to make a positive change in education and other vital sectors to accelerate the emirate’s transition from experience-based economy into a transformation economy. We will rely on comprehensive and innovative strategies, transformational solutions, and methods of thinking combining human wisdom and technological innovations. We are confident that we will be able to innovate joint initiatives that will contribute greatly to implement our vision of providing the best education for future innovators in the UAE and the rest of the Arab World. We support government efforts to stimulate innovation as well as bring happiness to and ensure the well-being of the people and society. This will put Dubai and the UAE ahead of other cities and countries across the world.”
“We are honored to sign the MoU with HBMSU to deliver holistic solutions combining breakthrough transformative technologies and training to achieve ultimate human performance,” said Dr. Vassilieva.
“This will enable us to work closely with HBMSU so that we will be able to develop disruptive innovation and accelerate learning together in accordance with our objectives to bring happiness to the people, enhance their competencies, and ensure personal and global transformation,” concluded Dr. Vassilieva.
