Gael's Great in an R8

Dubai, UAE, March 1, 2017:  Tournament fourth seed Gael Monfils took a break from practice today to test out the latest Audi R8 V10 plus in Vegas Yellow. Having owned an R8 in the past, the world number 12 player was delighted to test the fastest series production Audi of all time, hitting a top speed of 330km/h and capable of doing 0 to 100 in 3.3 seconds. The Audi has 610 hp and the maximum torque of 560 NM is available at 6500rpm.

Audi is the official car sponsor of the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships, and has supported the event for the last 12 years.

Play in the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships continues until 4 March, and along with Monfils, features Wimbledon, Olympic and ATP Finals champion and ATP world number one Andy Murray, Australian Open champion and seven-time Dubai winner Roger Federer, and two-time Dubai finalist Tomas Berdych.
