Malabar Gold & Diamonds conducts free health check-up in association with Sharjah Charity International, Khor Fakkan & Ministry of Health & Prevention - Sharjah

• Over 600 labors from Sharjah Municipality, Khor Fakkan got benefited from Free Health Check-up & Medicines provided.

Dubai, UAE, February 6, 2017:  Malabar Gold & Diamonds, one of the BIG 5 jewellery retailers globally with 169 retail outlets globally organized a free medical camp in association with Sharjah Charity International, Khor Fakkan and Ministry of Health & Prevention - Sharjah, Aster Clinic, Emirates Medical Student Society, Thumbay Hospital, Ahlan Dental Medical Centre and other likeminded organizations on 27th January, Friday, 2017 at the Qidfa, Khor Fakkan from 03:00pm to 08:00pm.

Aiming to ensure the quality health care accessible to everyone, Malabar Gold & Diamonds has been conducting several such health checkup camps in different parts of the Middle East in association with like-minded organizations as a part of their CSR activities. Over 600 labors from Sharjah Municipality, Khor Fakkan got benefited from Free Health Check-up & Medicines provided.

Commenting on the initiative, Mr Shamlal Ahamed M P, Managing Director - International Operations, Malabar Gold & Diamonds said ‘We, Malabar Group is always in forefront when it comes to CSR right from the inception. We have kept aside a fixed percentage of our profit for the CSR activities in all the regions where we operates. We are pleased to participate in this noble cause and we thank Sharjah Charity International, Khor Fakkan and Ministry of Health & Prevention - Sharjah, Aster Clinic, Emirates Medical Student Society, Thumbay Hospital, Ahlan Dental Medical Centre and other likeminded organizations for their whole hearted support’ 

This facility was open to the public and was offered free consultations and diagnosis by expert doctors including General Practitioners & Dentists. They used the facility to check Blood Sugar, Multi-functional weighing scale and could undergo physical examination. 

Through this camp, they raised the awareness by educating the public to follow a well-balanced diet for a healthy living and expert dentist have provided basic education on dental care. Bone density assessments and non- smoking awareness programs was conducted as a part of the event.

The group supports many philanthropic activities and is always ready to take initiatives to help the deprived section in the society. The key focus areas of the CSR initiatives of Malabar Group are in the areas of Health, Education, Women Empowerment, Housing and Environment. The group, which currently has showrooms across GCC, India, Malaysia and Singapore undertakes several welfare activities with the association of like-minded organizations in the respective regions.
