- BRISTOL announces exclusive partnership with Bronto Skylift at Intersec 2017 with the presence of His Highness Sheikh Mansoor Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
- Agreement will see BRISTOL establish the Middle East’s first authorized service and after sales center for Bronto’s aerial work platforms used in firefighting and utilities.
- Bronto client list includes Ministry of Interior, Civil Defence, oil and gas, maintenance and construction companies throughout the region.
Dubai, UAE, January 22, 2017: BRISTOL Vehicles Manufacturing Division (VMD), the Abu Dhabi-based fire-fighting, rescue and safety vehicles manufacturer, has agreed a service and after sales partnership with Bronto Skylift, a market leader in truck-mounted hydraulic platforms.
BRISTOL will run the Middle East’s largest authorized service center for Bronto’s range of aerial work platforms, which are typically used to fight fires in industrial and high rise areas. Concorde – Corodex Group, the parent company of BRISTOL VMD, will act as the official sales agent of Bronto in the UAE.
The partnership is significant in light of a spate of tower block and warehouse blazes in the region.
The partnership will see dedicated areas of BRISTOL’s 30,000 square meter facility in Abu Dhabi and 20,000 square meter facility in Dubai give 24/7 service support to Bronto’s extensive client base throughout the GCC and Middle East, focusing on the countries where Bronto doesn’t have authorized service partners.
Mahmoud Awad, Managing Director of Concorde - Corodex Group, said: “Bronto is a global pioneer in firefighting solutions and is a name synonymous with quality. The application of their products for firefighting purposes in high rise and industrial buildings is second to none. “
“Now, for the first time, Middle East clients will have access to a locally-based authorized service center providing around the clock after sales and service support. This makes a tremendous difference in the ongoing effort to improve the region’s ability to control potentially destructive fires.”
The partnership was signed during a ceremony today (22nd) at the Intersec safety and security exhibition at Dubai World Trade Centre, in the presence of His Highness Sheikh Mansoor Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
BRISTOL VMD will provide fabrication expertise, local after sales, and a service center within the grounds of its manufacturing facilities. The service center will serve firefighting entities including Civil Defense and Police, as well as the oil and gas sector, rescue operations and utility companies.
Bronto’s product range includes approximately 50 models with a range of 17 to 112 meters working height. During the past 50 years, the company has delivered approximately 6,700 platform units to fire brigades and industrial customers in more than 120 countries.
The company’s headquarters and production plants are located in Finland with subsidiaries in Germany, Sweden, Switzerland and USA.
BRISTOL VMD specializes in the engineering and manufacturing of bodies for all types of commercial vehicles. Ambulance conversion is carried out on diverse vehicles, fully equipped with various medical equipment and supplies. Firefighting vehicles are specifically designed and built according to the client’s custom requirements, complete with equipment, accessories and rescue tools.
